Modern RishiOne who sees.

Rishi = One who sees

See clearly.
Live consciously.

A Modern Rishi is not defined by appearance, age, religion, nationality or learning.

It is a state approached through increasingly clear seeing: by examining assumptions, beliefs, conditioning and the forces that shape perception, judgement and action.

No belief is demanded. No personality is placed between you and your own capacity to enquire.

The journey

The state of a Modern Rishi is not a label. It is a direction.

There are stages to cross. Each one asks for greater honesty, sharper discernment and clearer seeing.

01

Question

The journey begins when familiarity is no longer mistaken for truth. What do I actually know, and what have I merely assumed?

02

Examine

Look closely at beliefs, habits, reactions, conditioning and inherited ideas. Not simply to reject them, but to understand them.

03

Discern

Learn to distinguish what is known from what is believed, what is observed from what is interpreted, and what is real from what has merely become familiar.

04

See

As interference is recognised, perception becomes clearer. Reaction gives way, increasingly, to conscious response.

05

Live

Clear seeing has little value if it remains intellectual. It begins to shape choices, conduct, relationships and responsible action.

Clear seeing is not an idea to admire. It is something to live.

The twenty-four, and one more

Dattatreya learned from the Earth, air, water, animals, human behaviour and his own body. A true enquiry does not make wisdom the property of one person.

Truth does not belong to a personality.
